My practice is influenced by the urban scene. I appropriate and abstract the surface form and colour of everyday objects, as well as text and graphic elements from the language of signage and advertisement that have a specific formal attraction to me.

I work across a variety of media and scales, working directly onto found surfaces such as sheet steel, pallets and packaging with paint. The palette of warm through to muted tones that I use reflects a nostalgia from the past.

I aim to produce work that explores a relationship between my passion for text, colour and shape.

My most recent body of work takes drawings of tools from an old 1990s hardware shop catalogue and appropriating them to create alternative representations.
